PRACTICUM DESCRIPTION

helpful to consider how the project helps you and how you help the organization meet its
goals.

CAREER DEVELOPMENT GOALS
These are goals that you have determined you wish to accomplish during your practicum.
They are linked to your career goals and objectives, and are hopefully ones that were
paramount in your mind when you began developing your practicum (i.e. the desire to
become more proficient at mediation). This relates to what it is you want to get out of your
experiential learning experience and how it relates to your career goals. List and explain how
your site will enable you to reach your career development goals.

SITE SPECIFIC GOALS
These goals are unique to you while you work at your specific practicum site. These goals
should be consistent with, and inspired by, your education and career goals (i.e. to observe
mediations and eventually co-mediate). Keeping a journal of your experiences and critical
incidents while working on your practicum is recommended.
