JU DUAL ADMISSIONS APPLICATION
A student wishing to pursue the pre-medical Dual Admission program between Jacksonville University and
Nova Southeastern University Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Program must complete this JU Dual
Admissions Application after acceptance to the Jacksonville University undergraduate program and at least 12
months before JU graduation.
Fall Semester Deadline for Dual Admissions Application: November 1
st
Spring Semester Deadline for Dual Admissions Application: March 15
th
Seniors/students within 12 months of their expected JU graduation that have not met the above application
deadlines can submit a written petition to the Pre-Health Committee requesting that they be permitted to apply.
Absolutely no dual admissions can be accepted after a student has graduated.
Note: Students must also complete the Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine
Application and provide all requested materials via the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic
Medicine (AACOMAS) (https://aacomas.liaisoncas.com/) by the deadline established by Nova for the year
the student wishes to enter Nova’s osteopathic program. Submission of MCAT scores and application fees to
Nova is also required and further described on their website (http://medicine.nova.edu/index.html).
Completion of this JU Dual Admissions Application is NOT sufficient in and of itself to guarantee acceptance to
Nova’s College of Osteopathic Medicine. Additionally, completion of this JU Dual Admissions Application does
not obligate the student to attend Nova Southeastern.
Requirements for successful application to the JU Dual Admissions program include the following:
Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher;
Completion of the MCAT before August of the student’s senior year;
Total MCAT score at or above 500 with 125 or above in each category
Prior to matriculation, students accepted to the D.O. 4 + 4 Program must complete the following pre-requisites or
an NSU-COM acceptable equivalent with a grade of “C” or higher:
8 semester hours of Biological Sciences w/ lab
8 semester hours of General Chemistry w/ lab
6 semester hours of Organic Chemistry w/ lab
4 semester hours of Physics w/ lab
3 semester hours of Biochemistry
6 semester hours of English/Humanities
