Golf Summer Camps
Beginner/Intermediate Golf Camp
This half-day camp is just the
cket for kids 9-14 years old
who have expressed interest
in and/or shown a talent for
golf, but aren't quite ready
to play a full round. With the
help of a Montgomery County
Golf Academy instructor,
campers will pracce pung,
chipping, driving, and using
irons and woods Monday-
Thursday at the Driving
Range. On Friday, we will go
to a nearby golf course to play
a round of 9 holes. It'll be a
blast for juniors, and a great
way to develop the skills needed to start playing golf with the family.
Camp fee includes instrucon, tees, golf balls and transportaon on
Friday.

Golf and So Much More - Full Day
For kids who want to try golf but don't want to spend all day at
it, this great combo camp is a 50/50 split that will keep them
interested all day long. With the help of a Montgomery County Golf
Academy instructor, all campers will pracce pung, chipping,
driving, and using irons and woods at the Driving Range, and then on
Friday, we will go to a nearby golf course to play a round of 9 holes.
Golf equipment will be provided to those who don't have their own
golf clubs. Each camper will receive professional instrucon, tees,
and Golf balls. In the aernoon, full-day campers will parcipate in
group acvies such as eld games (examples: soccer, basketball,
kick ball, etc.), mini-golf, and water fun at the South Germantown
Splash Park. Please note that all acvies will be held outside, and
can vary depending on the weather. Bring a non-perishable lunch
and snack, water bole, sunscreen, bathing suit, and towel. Fee
covers instrucon, tees, golf balls, and transportaon to the golf
course on Friday. Don't want full day camp? Sign up for half-day
camp and concentrate on golf!

Figure Skating Variety Camp
Prerequisite: Passed Pre Free Skate (Basic 8). This camp will
introduce gure skaters to a variety of types of gure skang.
Skaters will work on freestyle skills (jumps and spins), beginning ice
dance, moves in the eld, synchronized skang, and choreography.
It will be a great opportunity for skaters to try many new elements
and types of skang! Camp is designed for skaters at the Pre Free
Skate through Free Skate 6 (or pre-preliminary) levels. Please bring

All Sports Camp!
Do you have young athletes who love sports? This
camp is perfect for them! The Wheaton Sports
Pavilion's All Sports Camp includes a variety of both tradional and
non-tradional sports, skills clinics and games all aimed to develop
the individual's skill and teamwork. Campers will receive a 30-minute
instrucon in Ice Skang, Tennis and Archery, parcipate in bubble
soccer, kickball, dodgeball and capture the ag, as well as learning to
improve their skills of ag football, futsal, ulmate frisbee and more.

Wheaton Regional Park by taking nature walks to Brookside
Gardens, ice skang at the Wheaton Ice Arena, and enjoying a

Wild About Water Camp
It's a week of water-lled fun! Plan to get wet (and muddy) as we
explore our bit of the Chesapeake Bay watershed. We'll compare
fresh and saltwater habitats through hands-on experiences like
sampling for water-dwelling animals and performing simple
water tests. Field trips will take us to see where our water comes
from, how water is treated aer we use it, and on a visit to the
Chesapeake Bay. We'll also spend me boang and shing as we
learn all about water, the plants and animals that live there, and

discover the hidden world of the fairies. Use your imaginaon and
be creave together with your family!This registraon includes the
virtual presentaon from 9-10am AND a daily onsite program led by
Naturalist sta in an aernoon meslot with limited registraons-
addional mes will be made available as needed. If you can't
do the on-site poron, please look for the virtual only opon.
Parcipants should sign up as a family unit. A family unit is 2 to 5
people that live in the same household. One of those parcipants
needs to be an adult guardian. Content will be appropriate for
ages 5 and up. Please register one child over the age of 5 that will
represent the family. We will follow-up with an email requesng
informaon for family members that will parcipate.

examining the clues animals leave behind. We'll explore animal
homes, tracks, fur, feathers, bones and more in our invesgaon
Maryland's diverse woodland fauna. These sessions will oer much
of what makes preschool summer camp so special, including stories,
songs, cras and ps for outdoor nature detecve acvies. Each
camper will receive an acvity kit with all the materials they will
need to engage in these acvies.

Wee Little Nature Explorers
Learn about the natural world through cras, stories, and hikes in
this week-long nature camp for young children and their grown-up.
Together we will go on hikes in the woods, use nets in the meadow
to catch bueries, and explore the creek. Register the child only -
no fee for the accompanying adult.

WILD Science Virtual Online Camp
Take to the air to learn about ight, create a water ltraon device,
and harness the power of the sun. Campers will receive a kit lled
with science acvies, experiments, and supplies to inspire the
imaginaon. The camp day will include a morning virtual session
with a park naturalist where we will learn together as a nature
inspired community. Aer the virtual session, there will be daily
acvies for campers to do on their own or as a family and share
with their camper friends the next day. This online program is
being hosted by sta from the Maydale Nature Classroom. The live
virtual sessions are held through Microso TEAMS. You will pick
up your camp kit from 1638 Maydale Drive, Colesville, Maryland,
20905. You will receive informaon about pick up mes in a
conrmaon email from the host facility.
