Flood Plain Variance and Appeal Application
THE REQUIRED FILING FEE MUST BE PAID PRIOR TO PROCESS. All data requested in this
application must be submitted in order to accurately review the proposed case. Incomplete data may result
in the application being rejected. This application and all required information must be typed or printed
legibly in pen.
An applicant receiving a variance to building a structure with the lowest floor elevation below the base
flood elevation (100 year) is hereby notified that the reduced floor elevation will increase the risk of
flooding and that the cost of flood insurance will be commensurate with increased risk.
Addressees will note that a public hearing will be scheduled within thirty (30) days of this application.
At the hearing you may be represented by council, present your arguments or contentions orally or in
writing, and present evidence and examine witnesses appearing for or against you.
As provided in Chapter 2506 of the Ohio Revised Code, those aggrieved by the decision of the “Board”
may appeal such decision to the County of Common Pleas, Clark County, Ohio.
