Essential Setting Checklist
The Probate Court requires the attorneys to sign a Setting checklist in order for a
hearing to be set in the probate Court. Please bear with us as we continue to learn
and develop protocol.
In order to obtain a hearing for essential matters you will need to complete the

As an officer of this court I verify this is an essential matter and a hearing is

As an officer of this court I intend to comply with the specific rules and the spirit of
the rules established by the Texas Supreme Court and the Denton County Probate
Court during the hearings held using Zoom and any other electronic devise.
Additionally, I understand it is my ethical duty to report to this court any known breaches
of the courts Zoom videoconferencing policy.
I have read the courts information on using Zoom conferencing, I’ve become
familiar with some conferencing by watching at least one hour of how-to videos and I
have attended as a participant two (2) test Zoom conferences with my peers.
I understand that for proper court efficiency it will be necessary for me to sign on
to the Zoom conference at least five minutes before the scheduled court hearing.
