for the corporation. This document must be on file with the County Clerk’s Office.
Submit documentary evidence that the agent is a resident of the State of Texas (Example, copy
of lease, utility bill, Texas driver’s license, or voter registration card in the agent’s name.).
Submit documentary evidence that the agent is a U.S. citizen (Example birth certificate or
current passport along with a copy of a government issued photo identification document. In
addition proof of a consular report of birth abroad, certificate of naturalization/citizenship
along with a copy of a government issued photo identification document.) If this is a
renewal application of a current license a copy of the proof of U.S. citizenship currently on
file with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is sufficient.
If this is a renewal, documentary evidence that certificate of deposit pledged to El Paso
County is current (Example bank statement update or safekeeping receipt).
If applicant intends to use real estate as security, the application must include a statement
listing all nonexempt real estate owned by the applicant which is intended to be conveyed in
trust to the
El Paso County Bail Bond Board as security upon tentative approval of the
application. The following shall be included for EACH parcel:
(1) Certified copy of Warranty Deed on property pledged.
(2) Mortgagee Title Insurance Property on property pledged obtained within the last ninety (90)
days of filing, stating that there are no liens.
(3) Current statements from every taxing unit with power to assess or collect taxes against the
property indicating there are no unpaid taxes or outstanding tax liens on the property.
(4) A sworn statement from the applicant agreeing to keep all taxes paid on the property while
it remains in trust.
(5) A sworn statement from the applicant agreeing not to further encumber the property after
conveying it in trust to the El Paso County Bail Bond Board.
(6) A sworn agreement from the applicant that the applicant fully insure and keep current the
insurance on the property including all improvements against any damage or destruction for
the full amount of the value claimed for the property and all improvements, while the
property remains in trust.
(7) A current appraisal made in accordance with Texas Occupations Code § 1704.155(3).
(8) A sworn statement from applicant’s spouse, if any, agreeing to transfer to the El Paso
County, as part of the trust, any right, title, or interest that the applicant’s spouse may have
in the property, and that the applicant’s spouse will execute deed of trust to any community
property placed in the security deposit.
(9) Documentation of insurance on the property listing the name of the insurance company to
confirm that the property is properly insured. Along with insurance policy showing El Paso
County as additional insured. This should include a copy of the fire and extended coverage
