RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Use of Fields: The official use of any athletic field must be with the expressed written consent of the
Providence Recreation Department. The designated authorized representative is responsible for
upholding all rules and regulation stated below.
2. Damage Deposit: Organizations using athletic fields are responsible for all damages to said field and
must furnish a $500.00 damage deposit before said field permit is issued. The deposit will be returned at
the conclusion of the permit season pending field inspection by the Park Department.
3. No Alcohol Consumption: No consumption or sales of alcoholic beverages are permitted on or
around athletic fields by City Ordinance 18-21. Permit holder is responsible for all participants and
spectators in or around the athletic field, including illegal beverage vendors.
4. Unauthorized Behavior: Public urination, littering, illegal sales of food, loud music, illegal parking and
inappropriate changing of clothes, and set up and use of gas grills are prohibited at all athletic fields
during the assigned hours of permit and by City Ordinance.
5. Appropriate Field Use: Field permits must be used for the assigned activity designated by permit
holder. Example: Soccer on a baseball diamond is prohibited.
6. Injuries: The City of Providence is not responsible for any injuries that occur at any athletic field.
7. Permit holder is encouraged to carry said permit at all times and contact the Providence Police if another
organization is using said field and refuses to leave in a timely fashion.
8. Permit Fees: All permit fees must be paid in full or on agreed upon schedule approved by Recreation.
9. Violation of Rules: Rules and Regulations violation during season will result in Recreation inquiry and
could lead to a suspension or termination of said permit!
10. Permit Changes: Permit may be withdrawn or subject to change during the season per the Providence
Recreation Department without notice due to Providence Recreation sponsored activities.
11. Non-Transfer or Sub-Lease of Permits: Permits cannot be sub-leased or transferred at any time by
the organization holding the permit without notification and approval by the Recreation Department.
