6th annual DIY Day and Fishing Clinic

What is it?
DIY Day is a free community event with Frederick’s
residents’ can-do spirit in mind. Folks will learn do-it-
yourself skills to make them even more independent
and well-rounded. The goal is to create an event where
everyone gathers to have fun while learning new skills.
DIY Day will take place in conjunction with the Frederick
Fishing Clinic, where residents can explore the Frederick
Recreation Area, learn about fishing, and get to know their
Police Department!

10th annual Frederick in Flight
June 26, 27 and 28
What is it?
Frederick in Flight is a three-day hot air balloon lift full of family-
friendly activities. The three day event peaks on Saturday with flight-
themed activities during the day and a glow party in the evening.
Please note that the flights are weather permitting. If it is deemed unsafe to fly on the day
your flight is scheduled, we will do our best to find another day for your flight during the
event, but due to the nature of the event, we are unable to guarantee flights after the event.

8th annual Chainsaw Carving Competition
July 15, 16, 17 & 18
*All day party with kids activities and bands will be on
Saturday, July 18
Chainsaws and Chuckwagons draws crowds into Downtown
Frederick throughout the entire competition as the carvers turn
giant logs into beautiful pieces of art! In addition to being a
fun event, the Town keeps the large carvings for added artwork
around Town. Supporting Chainsaws and Chuckwagons allows
the regional event to continue to flourish and helps provide
artwork that stays within the town for years to come!

What is it?
Miners Day is our premier community event that
originated as a celebration to honor and remember
Frederick’s mining heritage. This annual event features
family-oriented fun and entertainment throughout the
day including a parade, burro race, exhibitor booths,
food/refreshment vendors, activities, contests and live
entertainment. Per tradition, Miners Day will conclude
with a spectacular evening concert and fireworks display.

3nd annual Tiny Terror Town

What is it?
This is our 3rd annual Halloween event for the Town of Frederick.
Discover the tiniest frights you’ll find on the Front Range including
the world’s tiniest haunted house! This family-friendly event will
be a safe place for kids and families to trunk-or-treat and trick-or-
treat at tiny abodes in Crist Park.
We’re looking for organizations who will support specific elements
of the event as outlined below, either with monetary or in-kind
donations.

16th annual Treelighting and Festival of Lights
Saturday, December 5
What is it?
Per tradition, the Town of Frederick rings in the holiday season with the
Festival of Lights. The event includes carriage rides, photos with Santa,
cookies and hot chocolate, holiday entertainment, and a live ice carving
demonstration with interactive sculpture! The Festival of Lights is part of
the Carbon Valley Holiday Festival.
We’re looking for organizations who will support specific elements of the
event as outlined below, either with monetary or in-kind donations.

necessary event supplies. However, the Town of Frederick reserves the right to estimate a value of
your in-kind sponsorship. We will not be accepting in-kind sponsorship in the form of gift certificates,
gift baskets, etc. We will also work with organizations that have volunteers to support the event.
