Pursuant to Section 404.4 of THE CODE OF IOWA, the undersigned requests approval of its application for property tax
abatement in accordance with the urban revitalization tax exemption ordinance adopted by the City of Marshalltown, Iowa
pursuant to Chapter 404 of THE CODE OF IOWA, and in connection therewith certifies the following:

Residential filing fee: There is a $50.00 filing fee, calculated per each residential unit.

Commercial Tax Abatement Exemption Schedule is three years at 100% for each of three years. Filing Fee: $50
The improvements made to the property are believed to have increased its actual value by at least ten (10) percent and
have been made in compliance with all applicable laws, codes and ordinances. There is no dollar limit for qualifying
property improvements.
There has not been and there will not be a need for the relocation of persons, including families, business concerns, or
others as a result of the improvements made to the property.
The application is due before February 1 of each year at the office of the City Clerk, 24 N Center Street, Marshalltown,
Iowa, 50158. The fee is payable to the City of Marshalltown at the City Clerk’s office upon filing this application.
It is understood that this application, if approved by the City Council of the City of Marshalltown, Iowa, will be returned to
the Office of the City Assessor on or before March 1
st
of the year in which the improvements included in the project are to
be first assessed for taxation.
