The Localism Act came into force in November 2011. Part 5 of the Act provides new
powers for Communities, including the “Community Right to Bid” and the regulations
regarding this came into force on 20
th
Sept 2012.
The Community Right to Bid provides “relevant bodies” with the right to nominate
land/buildings as Assets of Community Value.
This form is split into three sections to enable you
to give details about:
a) who you are;
b) the asset you wish to nominate; and
c) what community value you believe the asset has.
We ask for this information to help assess whether your nomination meets the
requirements of the legislation relating to this community right.
