Columbia College Student Senate Campaign Packet 2014
Dear Candidate:
Congratulations on your decision to run for Executive Office or as a Senator. Please read
this Election code carefully and follow it honestly while completing all the required forms within
the allotted time. All prospective candidates must meet all guidelines need to hold office.
Office Requirements for ASCC Officers:
The President of ASCC, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Director of Activities,
Director of Publicity, and Director of Club Affairs shall be members of the ASCC.
They will have received course credit for a minimum of nine (9) units the semester
before, and be enrolled in nine (9) units during his or her term of office with a
minimum of a 2.5 cumulative GPA. A 2.0 semester GPA must be maintained during
the entire term of office.
Office Requirements for Senators:
All Senators and Standing Committee Chairs shall be members of the ASCC and will
have received course credit for a minimum of nine (9) units the semester before, and
during his or her term of office with a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative GPA. New
students will not be held to the nine (9) units requirement prior to taking office if the
Executive Council or the advisor waives* these requirements. A 2.0 semester GPA
must be maintained during the entire term of office.
*Unit/GPA Requirement Waiver is available in the Constitution and Bylaws (8.05)
Applications can be picked-up and returned to the Student Center, Ponderosa Building 8:00am -4:00pm
