ACE Military Credit Request
UHD may award additional course credit for a student's military service and training as the institution and dean or dean’s
designee considers appropriate in fulfilling degree requirements.
Important Information:
This form should be completed by veteran students after consultation with the academic advisor of their major, as

indicated by an Advisor signature below, and then forwarded to the Office of Admissions, Transfer Articulation
Department. Credits will appear on the student’s academic history as ELEC 1XXX or 3XXX. To apply these credits toward
degree requirements, submit a separate Credit Petition form to the Graduation Coordinators.

The official electronic copy of the AARTS/JST/ACE transcript must be submitted to admissions before this form may be used.
•
Military Service Credits will not be removed once awarded. Before submission of this request, Departments/Colleges
should understand how the credits affect:
• The student's eligibility for a tuition rebate
• Texas B-
On Time loan forgiveness
• Excess credit hours that may result in higher tuition and
• Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements
