2020 Student Photo/Art Contest
The North Reading Community Impact Team’s Youth Substance Use Prevention
Coalition and Youth Action Team is seeking entries for the 2020 Student Photo/
Art Contest. We wish to recognize the voices of young people and how they see
their community. Please review the attached guidelines and entry form.
Who can participate? Any student who lives in North Reading, entering
grades 6-12. Organizations may not participate.
What kind of camera do I have to use? Digital, film, or even camera phones
may be used. Art of any medium. Images must be submitted digitally with a
minimum of 4650x3460 megapixels size in GIF, JPG or PNG format.
How are winners selected? Winners will be selected by the North Reading
Youth Action Team.
What happens with the photos/art? Your photos will be printed and shared
at various CIT events. Art and photos will be on display at the Flint Memorial
Library. They will be also shared through social and print media. Top selections
will be featured in the 2020-21 Health and Safety Guide.
What are the categories and prizes?
There are 3 categories:
1) Photos/art that demonstrate healthy behaviors
within your age group (middle or high school)
2) Photos/art that demonstrate healthy decisions
3) Photos/art of resources in the community that
support healthy behaviors
Prizes include recognitions in local media and
certificate. A $50 gift card to a North Reading
business of the winner’s choice will be awarded
to first place in each category.
