2019 Farmers’ Markets on the Green Rules and Regulations
1. Vendors must provide an accurate detailed list of all products to be sold at the market.
Products may include produce or cottage food products.
1.1. Produce includes whole and intact fruits or vegetables.
1.2. Cottage food products include jams, jellies, non-potentially hazardous bakery products
and similar goods as outlined in Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 901:3-20. It is the
sole responsibility of the vendor to label all cottage food products in compliance with
state and federal regulations. All cottage food products must be pre-packaged and
properly labeled. It is the sole responsibility of the vendor to obtain proper permits
from the Mahoning County Board of Health in order to distribute samples to
customers.
2. Vendors must be approved to participate in the market.
2.1. The City of Canfield reserves the right to refuse any applicants participatory
authorization.
2.2. The City of Canfield reserves the right to terminate or rescind authorization at any time
if the vendor fails to adhere to the rules and regulations.
3. Approved vendors will be assigned a specific area on the Canfield Village Green.
3.1. Vendors may request either a 10’ x 10’ or 10’ x 20’ space.
3.2. Vendors will provide properly anchored tents, tables and other set-up or operating
materials. No trailers are permitted for the markets.
3.3. Vendors are responsible to clean up and maintain their assigned area. If the assigned
area is damaged or littered, the vendors’ authorization may be terminated.
3.4. Set-up time begins at 8am and all vendors must vacate the Canfield Village Green by
4pm.
4. The 2019 Farmers’ Markets on the Village Green will take place on Saturdays beginning on
June 1
st
and ending on August 24
th
from 10am to 2pm.
