Professional Development for 6th-12th Grade Levels
Using course-specific texts and materials, CALL supports teachers in designing
effective instruction that aligns with the California ELA/ELD Framework and
Common Core State Standards. The CALL institute addresses how to integrate
the
California ELD standards and provides content area teachers with the
knowledge and tools to foster the development of academic language and literacy for
each of their students, with a special emphasis on support for adolescent English
learners.
“I have found that all students but specifically language learners
struggle with challenging!text and CALL addresses that challenge
with more than just a few strategies but a whole new approach
and system to implement!meaningful text based instruction.”
