APPLICATION FOR A GROUP HORSEBACK RIDING PERMIT
No person shall ride a horse in or on any land or water area controlled by the Division without
first procuring a proper and valid permit. The riding of horses on or over any food area, dams, fireline, or
field which has been cultivated or planted shall be unlawful at all times. Riding will be restricted to
designated trails and secondary roads.
The
prospective permittee shall maintain public liability and property damage insurance for the
period of authorized use, with an insurance company recognized to do business in the State of New Jersey
in the amount of $300,000. each occurrence for Bodily Injury and Property Damage. Certificates of such
coverage shall be submitted with each application before a permit is issued.
NOTE : Permittee shall be responsible and liable for any damage which may occur and shall abide
by regulation for use of wildlife management areas. Alcoholic beverages, open fires and ATV’s are
strictly prohibited on wildlife management areas.
Our B
ureau of Law Enforcement has requested that all participants have a copy of the permit or
some other type of information (wristband, etc.) identifying them as part of your group. You are also
required to have available a list of names of all participants.
Marker
s, flagging or signs identifying your course are to be removed within 5 days of your event.
Failure to do so could result in the loss of permit privileges for future events.
