Zonta Club of Cheyenne
SCHOLARSHIP
The LCCC Financial Aid Office will be accepting applications for the Zonta Club of
Cheyenne Scholarship. It is the intent of the Zonta Club of Cheyenne to furnish financial
aid in the form of scholarships to women who are seeking additional education in order
to improve their economic status. Mothers raising their children independently on a
limited income are especially encouraged to apply.
Applications must be submitted to the LCCC Financial Aid Office on the Zonta Club of
Cheyenne Scholarship Application Form. The deadline is May 24.
The following factors will be considered in determining the recipients of the
scholarship(s):
1. The student shall have financial need as determined by the LCCC Financial
Aid Office.
2. The student shall attend LCCC on the main campus, Eastern Laramie County
Campus, or Warren Air Force Base Campus.
3. The student may be attending LCCC either on a part-time or full-time basis.
4. The student will be a woman over the age of 21.
5. The student will be a Laramie County resident.
6. The student will need to maintain a 2.0 grade point average. If the student is a
current student, she must have a 2.0 grade point average to qualify.
7. The student will need to state her career goals and outline how she intends to
fulfill these goals.
An interview with the Cheyenne Zonta Club members may be required.
The Cheyenne Zonta Club is part of a worldwide service organization of women
executives in business and the professions working together to advance the status
of women. The club was organized in 1956 and has a commitment to serving and
improving the quality of life for the Cheyenne community.
