What do I Value?
Can we determine how we value things by deciding
what we would pay for them? Most of us will
spend our lives making choices and compromises.
What do we want and what can we afford? We
only have so much money. How do we spend it?
Values are relatively permanent personal
beliefs about what you regard as
important, worthy, desirable or right.
Attitudes are a measure of your state of mind,
your opinions and judgment about the world in
which you live.
Behavior is what we actually do and what people
can actually see. Our behavior is guided by our
values and attitudes.
Our buying behavior as consumers is based on what we
value and the attitudes we hold. Our career choices are a
type of behavior guided by our values and attitudes. If we
are going to manage our economy to achieve the things we
value, we need to begin thinking about our attitudes and
the values that underlie them.
Imagine you have $10,000 and that you can purchase the
following items. Does it all sound good? You only have
$10,000 to spend how would you spend it?
