2021-2022 Wheeler Foundation Scholarship Application
University of the Incarnate Word is pleased to offer 4 UIW undergraduate students an annual scholarship of $3,750
provided by the Wheeler Foundation. The scholarship will be divided evenly between Fall 2021 and Spring 2022.
The Wheeler Foundation Scholarship is designated to provide tuition assistance to undergraduate students to devote more
time to academic progress and enhance their experience with research and leadership opportunities. Applications may be
submitted to the Office of Financial Assistance via e-mail (finaid@uiwtx.edu
) or mail (4301 Broadway CPO 308, San
Antonio, TX 78209) by May 28, 2021.
Students must meet the following criteria to apply:
• Must be a permanent resident of Atascosa or McMullen county
• Must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA
• Must be an undergraduate student enrolled full-time enrollment (12+ hours)
• Must submit a 2021-2022 FAFSA and demonstrate financial need, determined by the FAFSA.
Please attach the following items to the Wheeler Foundation Scholarship application:
• Personal Biography
Submit a typed personal biography detailing why you chose to attend UIW, your career goals/plans after
graduation, and any hardships/obstacles encountered.
• Thank You Letter
Complete the fillable thank you letter (attached) addressed to “Wheeler Foundation” expressing your sincere
thanks for the scholarship opportunity. Electronic signatures are acceptable on the application.
