OPTION 2 - CONDITIONAL PLEA OF NO CONTEST
NO COURT APPEARANCE AND NO POINTS
If you received a traffic cket in Palm Beach County that does not involve a crash and does not require a mandatory hearing under Florida Statutes secon 318.19,
you may submit a Condional Plea of No Contest and Waiver of Appearance to the court.
If your condional plea is accepted by the court:
• You will not have a court hearing.
• No points will be added to your driving record.
• The court will withhold adjudicaon of guilt.
• You will be requir
ed to comply with any resoluon the court imposes, such as paying a
fine or aending driving school.

If for any reason the court declines to accept your condional plea, your case will be handled through the normal traffic cket process and may be set for a pre-trial
teleconference. At that me, the condional plea that you submied earlier cannot be used as evidence against you.
OPTION 3 - PLEAD NOT GUILTY
MANDATORY PRETRIAL HEARINGS
Upon entering a plea of not guilty either online or in wring, a pretrial hearing will be set for citaons listed on this form. Law enforcement officers and witnesses will not be
present at the hearing. Citaons issued for tolls are not eligible for pretrial hearings. If you have not received a noce of hearing aer 30 days, call 561-355-2996.

OPTION 4 - ELECT TRAFFIC SCHOOL

Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller’s office.

2. The Clerk‘s office must receive your completed form and payment
within 30 days from the date the citation was issued. The amount of the
fine is listed under
Traffic Fees on this guide. Once elected, failure to
complete traffic school will result in the suspension of
your driver’s
license, points assessed to your record, and imposition of additional
costs.
3. Within 90 days of electing traffic school, you must attend a school
certified by the State of Florida. For a list of traffic schools, visit the
Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles’ website at
flhsmv.gov/driver-licenses-id-cards/education-courses or check your
local yellow pages. The traffic school enrollment fee is in addition to any
statutory fees for the violation.
To determine your eligibility to elect traffic school, visit flhsmv.gov and
select Driver License Check.

How do I sasfy a citaon for improper/unsafe equipment?
If listed on your citaon, you may choose Opon 6 on your citaon, fix the issue, get the cket signed by a police officer and pay a reduced $100 penalty, or pay the
full penalty, or plead “not guilty” and appear before a court official. The driver of the vehicle is responsible for the citaon, regardless of who owns the vehicle.
Can I reinstate my license at the Clerk’s office?
You may be eligible to reinstate your license. To determine your eligibility, visit flhsmv.gov and click on Driver License Tracking System. For applicable fees, call
561-355-2996. The reinstatement fee is payable by cash or credit card only.
Which traffic ckets cannot be paid online?
The following traffic ckets cannot be paid online and must be paid in person at the Clerk’s office: citaons issued for driving under suspension; traffic compliance
citaons where proof is required; toll citaons; criminal traffic citaons; citaons requiring mandatory court; citaons issued for improper equipment; citaons that
are or have been in collecons or a payment plan; and citaons with not guilty pleas that have not yet been to court.
