Alumni Endowed Scholarship Application
The Stony Brook Volunteer Ambulance Corps Alumni Endowed Scholarship will provide support for
students who serve as officers and members of the Stony Brook Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
To express appreciation, alumnus Joshua Moskovitz ’02 and a group of other alumni and friends of the SBVAC
seek to establish an endowed scholarship to benefit the students who volunteer their time to serve the university
community as members and officers of the SBVAC. Josh was a member of the SBVAC when he was an
undergraduate student at SBU and credits the experience as one of the most valuable and memorable in his
college years. The experience inspired him to pursue a career in business and management development as well
as Emergency Medicine.
Individuals eligible for the this scholarship must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in
good academic standing as defined by Stony Brook University policy.
Students must also be an active member of the SBVAC who is in good standing and has passed probationary
status.

All members are eligible to apply for the scholarship with preference being given to the nine officers for their
service and leadership.
Students applying for the scholarship are required to complete an application and submit the following
materials for Selection Committee consideration:

Transcript of their campaign speech, as described in section 6.1.2.5.2 of the SBVAC By-laws.
