The Palm Beach County Unified Land Development Code (ULDC) Article 2.B.7.E.6, requires a statement of special
reason or the basis for the variance(s) required. Article 2.B.7.E states that in order to authorize a variance, the Zoning
Commission shall and must find that all seven criteria listed in Art.2.B.7.E.6 have been satisfied by the Applicant prior to
making a motion for approval of a Zoning or Subdivision Variance. These seven Standards are one of the factors staff
uses in formulating their recommendations and opinions. The Applicant must address each standard separately and
completely in the Justification Statement and submit as an attachment. (Refer to Art.2.B.7.E.6, Standards for Zoning
or Subdivision Variance).
