I hereby certify to my understanding that vehicles registered in the Multi-County Use classification may be legally operated in
accordance with the following, and any violation of the following will result in the requirement that the vehicle be reregistered and
licensed in another class, and/or subject to a court citation for violation of the appropriate section of the Tennessee Code.
A. Vehicles registered in the County Use (Multi-County Zone) classification may be:
1. Operated on an unrestricted basis within the base county; however, statutory axle and gross weight limitations must
be observed.
2. Operated on movements from the base county to those counties physically adjoining the base county for the
purpose of delivering freight, goods, or other cargo to a final destination in the adjoining county.
3. Operated from a county physically adjoining the base county to any point in the base county.
B. Vehicles registered in the County Use (Multi-County Zone) classification may not be operated as follows:
1. Freight, good, or other cargo may not be transported from a point in an adjoining county to another point in that
same adjoining county.
2. Freight, goods, or other cargo may not be transported from a point in one adjoining county to a delivery point in
another adjoining county.
3. A vehicle registered in the County Use classification may not be transferred to a different base county during the
current registration year. Such a move will require that the vehicle be re-registered in the Private (P), Public (H), or
other appropriate classification.
4. County Use registered vehicles may not be operated outside the authorized zone, either empty or loaded. Such
operation will result in the requirement that such a vehicle be registered in one of the normal categories.
Under penalties of perjury, I further certify that I have read and understand the privileges and limitations imposed as a result of
the use of County Use (Multi-County Zone) registration(s) on my vehicle(s).
