Temporary Parking, Signage and Outdoor Seating/tables must meet all separation requirements set forth in Broward
County. This approval does not allow the restaurant at any time to exceed the max allowed occupancy load set forth
in the FBC. By signing this application the business owners agree to provide the following Fire Department
requirements while utilizing this temporary outdoor seating permit:
Provide barriers (if necessary) to protect patrons from vehicles
Provide egress from within and outside the restaurant are not blocked by outside seating
No tripping hazards allowed in the means of egress
No blocking of Fire Department Access, Fire Hydrants, FDC’s and Backflow Preventors
Any tents (with sides) greater than 10 x 10 or 100 sq. ft., or canopies (without sides) larger than 15 x
15 or 225 sq. ft. will require a building permit
This permit is valid until August 15, 2020 however the City may extend based on additional Emergency Orders that
may be issued. If you have any questions, please contact the Community Development Department, Zoning Division

STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED:
1. Complete the application
2. Prepare a drawing/sketch,
preferably on a survey or aerial
photo.
3. Email both the application and
drawing/sketch to Community
Development, Zoning Division at
dlozandier@daniabeachfl.gov or
mail to City of Dania Beach,
Community Development
Department, Zoning, 100 W. Dania
Beach Boulevard, Dania Beach, FL
33004 for processing.
4. Approval will be delivered to the
restaurant by Code Compliance.
5. NO FEE

50% Inside: 36 persons / 2 = 18 persons

IN NO CASE, CAN THE MAXIMUM CAPACITY BE EXCEEDED PER FLORIDA BUILDING CODE.
