Subject: New Hire Pay Date
In accordance with agency policy, a new hire, including a direct transfer from another
state agency, that begins employment other than the first of the month with TCEQ, is not
guaranteed payment on the first working date of the month following his/her hire date.
Payment will be made no later than the 15
th
of the month following his/her hire date.
The TCEQ Financial Administration Division considers monthly salary payments to
employees to be its highest priority. The Payroll Unit will do whatever is necessary to
expedite supplemental payrolls to ensure that all employees receive a paycheck on the
first working day of the month, or as quickly as possible.
