Subsidized Usage Limit Statement
Please note, at this time, you are either approaching or have exhausted your eligibility for Direct subsidized
loans for future enrollment.
The U.S. Department of Education states this regulation applies to first-time borrowers on or after July 1, 2013,
and limits the time students may borrow Direct Subsidized loans to no more than 150 percent of the published
length of the student’s educational program. The “150 percent limit” includes two key changes for certain
Direct subsidized loan borrowers:
1) Limitation on Direct subsidized loan eligibility
2) Potential loss of interest subsidy
Additional information regarding the 150 percent Direct Subsidized loan limit can be found at
If you would like to be considered for additional unsubsidized loan funding, please complete the statement
below and return it to the Financial Aid office at your campus or email a signed copy to email@example.com.
I ___________________________ am aware that I have met my Sula subsidized usage limit and am wanting to
convert the amount over to unsubsidized loans.
