Student Learning Outcomes of the First-Year
Learning Communities
First-year learning communities must meet the goals of the First-Year Experience. Use the grid below to
indicate which assignments or activities in your learning community’s course meet these Student Learning
Outcomes (SLO) goals. Please write or type in the assignments or activities from your course that meets
each SLO. If no activity or assignment from your class meets a SLO, please leave that cell blank.
Remember, you don’t have to meet all parts of SLO 5.
Your completed form is due to the FYE Director in Academic Support Center, Library, lower level. Once
received, the grids from the three courses in your learning community will be lined up to determine whether any
SLO's
are not being met by at least one course. If that is the case, your group will be notified and asked to
revise.
Please contact the ASC Director if you have questions (858-3177).
