Citizens Request Form
The San Diego County Sheriff's Department will routinely provide crime related data and statistics to government agencies, schools and other
law
enforcement agencies for properties directly within their specific areas at no cost.
All requests for statistics or analysis by the general public, attorneys, media, or for-profit organizations requiring longer then 30 minutes to perform will
require a research fee to be paid. We do not provide statistics or analysis that could compromise ongoing investigations. The Research Fee is $40/hour.
The below report must be completely filled out. Checks must be made payable to “San Diego Sheriff’s Department” and must accompany your request.
Checks will be mailed to San Diego Sheriff's Department, Attention: Crime Analysis Unit 9621 Ridgehaven Court San Diego CA 92123. Reports will be
completed in 3-5 working days after receipt of the CAU Request Form. San Diego Sheriff's Department's internal analysis demands take priority over
requests received from outside entities.

San Diego Sheriff's Department Report data used for Crime Analysis Reports may be changed upon further investigation or when audited.
2.
San Diego Sheriff's Department reports are not made on every citizen's call for service. Sheriff's calls do not always require criminal investigation or a report. Many are
service calls for Sheriff's assistance and do not involve a reportable crime.
3.
San Diego Sheriff's Department reports may be obtained from the San Diego Sheriff's Department's Records Bureau. Case Report requests may be made at the Records
Counter located in the main lobby of the Sheriff's Department at 9621 Ridgehaven Ct, San Diego, CA .
