SABC MATCHING GRANT GUIDELINES
This program is a partnership between TWU and SABC to help students in financing their TWU education. Please
read this page before signing the application. The awarding of the grant is based on financial need, availability of
funds, and the guidelines listed below.
PRIORITY APPLICATION DEADLINES
October 1: For students who attend both Fall and Spring semesters, or the Fall semester only
February 1: For students who attend Spring semester only
APPLICATION PROCESS
• Completed applications and cheques are due by the award deadline
• Applications and cheques must be sent together
• Applications are considered in the order that they are received, as long as funds are available. Funds are
limited.
AWARD TERMS
• For students attending a full academic year, TWU will match up to $2,000.
• For students attending one semester only, TWU will match up to $1,000
STUDENT ELIGIBILITY
• In order for funds to be matched by TWU, students must demonstrate financial need as determined
by the Financial Aid Office.
• Students must enroll in a minimum of 12 semester hours per semester (80% course load) with a
minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0
• Students must be enrolled in a traditional undergraduate degree program only.
SABC DONATION ELIGIBILITY
SABC may not submit funds from wages earned by the student or in lieu of volunteer work.
SABC may not submit funds from an individual to a specific student for the Matching Grant. Awards must
be from general funds.

C’s donation is a restricted gift and non-refundable.
Please Note: No tax receipting is required for the student. TWU will provide the T4A for students receiving this grant.
