Candidate Requirement Checklist: Please initial on each line.
A) I know that I must be currently enrolled in classed at MSJC and possess a valid
student identification card with a current semester SGA sticker.
B) I know that I must maintain a minimum of nine (9) units while holding office.
C) I understand I must have and maintain a GPA of 2.5. *This means as of Spring
2019, you have a semester GPA of 2.5.
*I understand that I cannot run for, or hold office, in SGA beyond a fifth (5th)
semester of SGA participation at Mt. San Jacinto College.
D) I understand that I must provide an unofficial copy of my transcript with this
application
E) I understand that no student may serve as President of any other organization at
MSJC while holding an executive officer position in SGA.
F) If I am appointed to the SGA, I understand that I must arrange my class schedule so
that I can participate in SGA legislative meetings each Friday from 10AM-12PM
(mandatory).
***It is highly recommended SGA Board Members have a clear schedule on Fridays,
from 8am-12pm, in order to effectively conduct any, and all, SGA business.
**I understand I am responsible for having reliable transportation to attend all SGA
Legislative meetings, Committee meetings, and Shared Governance meetings.
NOTE*** Individuals seeking a Student Government Association position must take an
assessment on the SGA Constitution. Please see below for this assessment.
