Rio Salado Interim Overlay District (RSIO)
Request for Administrative Review
The RSIO District, as outlined in Section 655 of the Zoning Ordinance, requires administrative review by the
Planning and Development Department for new development in the A-1 and A-2 industrial districts that are on
parcels of less than 10 acres. The review will determine which screening and setback standards of the
Commerce Park/General Commerce Park District shall apply. Where solid walls are required, other appropriate
screening may be applied and/or waived. The decision of the Planning and Development Director can be
appealed to the Planning Commission and ultimately to the City Council. For those uses or development
standards that are considered non-conforming due to the RSIO District, the new standards shall apply only to
the expansion areas. The effective date of this overlay is January 18, 2002.
Please complete the following information and submit it to the Zoning Counter on the 2nd Floor of City Hall
along with the following information:

The sketch shall co
ntain a north arrow, the dimensions of the lot, the location and names of the adjoining
streets and the proposed location and size of all proposes structures. A letter will be provided with the
requirements listed and kept on file with the Planning and Development Department.
