Overview:
Prism serves to showcase our students to the larger Towson community, school administration, and
potential donors.
The Prism Committee seeks faculty nominations for the very best of our student small ensembles,
solo performers to be featured alongside our large ensembles.
For small ensembles and solo performers/composers, the selections should be something that will be
performance ready during the Fall semester preceding the annual Prism concert.
A nomination does not guarantee a spot on the concert. The Committee will review all nominations
in consideration of overall performance quality and the variety of programming for the 75 minute
concert.
Selections should be both impressive in musical nuance and performance skill and concise (approx.
3-4 minutes in length per performance). Large ensembles will be performing slightly longer works
or works in combination with other ensembles.
