[ ] College Entrance Examination Board advanced placement credit will be granted in appropriate subjects to freshmen
students who earn a grade of 3, 4, or 5 on the advanced placement examination. The LSUE catalog has a table that shows credit
awarded by LSUE and the score requirements.
[ ] CLEP Subject Examination: A CLEP subject examination score of 50 or higher is recommended for departmental course credit.
Credit is not allowed for CLEP general examinations.
[ ] American College Test: Scores earned on this test are used as a basis for allowing credit in Freshman English and Math 1021.
ENGL1001 requires a minimum score of 26 in ENGL and a total ENGL score plus COMP score equal to 53 or above. ENGL1002 requires
a minimum score of 26 in ENGL and a total ENG score plus COMP score equal to 62 or above. The minimum ACT score needed to
receive credit in MATH 1021 is a MATH score of 25 or above. Many of the courses that are offered at LSUE require credit in ENGL
1001 and/or 1002 or MATH 1021 as a prerequisite.
[ ] Ace Military Credit: Credit for work taken through the military which equates to courses offered at LSUE. The work
is reviewed by the student’s dean for recommendation for approval.

articulated credit can be posted onto transcript. Students are not permitted to request credit under the articulation

registered for classes during the semester in which payment and final paperwork is submitted.

To be eligible, students must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Students must pass all pre-requisite courses with
a C or better and the HESI Mobility Exam. The highest scoring students will be accepted into the nursing program.
Nursing students must then pass both transition courses with a C or better to be awarded 14 hours of nursing
credit. Fees for this credit must be paid before the students may take these exams. Credit will be posted after the
14
th
class day of the semester that the students schedule these exams.
[ ] Advanced Standing Examination: Students must be admitted to the University and must be in good academic
standing. Students are not permitted to schedule advanced standing examinations in courses in which they are
currently enrolled; in courses which they have audited; in courses in which they have earned unsatisfactory
grades; or in courses in which they have dropped with grades of “W”. If a grade of “C” or higher is earned on the
examination, a mark of “P” and regular credit in the course is entered on the student’s record. If a grade lower
than “C” is earned, only the fact that the examination has been attempted will be recorded; credit will not be
allowed.
Student, please note: Transcript posting of credit cannot be made in advance of the student’s paid registration
at LSUE. Credit will be posted after the 14th class day.
