and their supporters together to celebrate success,
recognize resiliency, and champion the CIS mission in the
greater Lehigh Valley. Join us for Communities In Schools
signature event as our graduating high school seniors
celebrate in cap and gown. At this breakfast event, we will
present our annual Joan Benner Fuller Scholarship and
Champion of Education award before sharing the
success of all of our students through the commitment

Ready to learn. Ready to grow. Ready to succeed. Our READY Campaign Kick-Off Event celebrates the start of a new
school year and the commitment of our team, volunteers, and partners to supporting our students from the beginning
of the school year to the end. Join us for hor d’oeuvres, beer, and wine as we unveil our new administrative office
space, announce student outcomes from the 2017-2018 school year and kick-off a year of advocacy and
empowerment for our community’s students. Office Open House Prior to Event: 1pm-3pm
True to our name, Communities In Schools brings community, resources, and relationships
inside our schools to connect students to what they need - in April, we bring the community to
the basketball court for some friendly competition! Our Basketball Challenge will bring together teams of volunteers from
local companies, schools, and organizations to face off for the grand prize - a chance to play against the Communities In
Schools All-Star Team, made up of our high school students! Our middle school and elementary school students will take
the court too, showing off their skills in various challenges. Join us for a taste of local basketball excitement during this
Friday night, family-friendly event for everyone - complete with food, raffles, and fun! All proceeds will directly support the
more than 25,000 local students that we serve.
