Thank you for submitting your application to the RN, AAS program at Southeast Tech! Prior to starting
the RN specific courses, students must successfully complete the following prerequisite courses:
Chemistry, Physiology, Microbiology, Speech, and Social Problems OR Marriage and the Family.
Students can either take these courses at Southeast Tech or transfer some/all of these credits from a
previous college or university. Students must earn a "C" or better in all prerequisite courses in order to
enroll in any “NURS” prefixed courses.
Transferring Courses:
Chemistry, Physiology, and Microbiology MUST have been completed within seven years of starting the
RN specific classes. In order to transfer credits to Southeast Tech, students need to provide Southeast
Tech with an official, sealed copy of their transcripts from the Registrar of the institution they obtained
the credits. Only credits completed with a grade of “C” or better from an accredited institution are
eligible for transferability. All transfer credits are subject to review and approval by Southeast Tech’s
Registrar.
Taking General Courses at Southeast Tech:
Students may take some or all of the prerequisite courses at Southeast Tech by enrolling in the semester
prior to the program start date. For example, this may mean taking the general courses in the Fall
semester (August), and starting the RN Program courses in the Spring semester (January).
