Describe in molecular detail the cell structures and processes involved in
membrane transport, aerobic and anaerobic respiration, photosynthesis, and
compare and contrast their respective roles in energy transformations in cells.
70% of students will score greater than 70% on an assessment that addresses this SLO.
Unit exam: 5 multiple-choice and one essay question.
80% of students scored greater than 70% on this assessment
Four of the five students scored well above 90% on this assessment; the one who did not
scored very low on the unit exam for this section of the course. The student reported that
they had three exams on the same day (Biology, Organic Chemistry, and Math) and decided
to focus on the chemistry and math exams.
Better coordination of exam dates between major science courses.
