this form to capture the annual progress toward the goals outlined in your Committee’s
plan. Cite the data you used in developing/analyzing your plan and any relevant analysis of that data (e.g. upward
or downward trends, performance gaps). Include your committee’s achievements, along with any challenges you
encountered. Analyze and discuss those achievements and challenges. Perhaps most importantly, outline any

Discussion Notes:
I
mprovements (planned and completed):
What worked well today, what did you like?
• Useful for institution
• All agreed that it was useful
• This meeting was better organized this time, information was easy to follow and made
a lot of sense
• Liked having report back on evaluation forms: summarization of these forms
• Brainstorming with professionals is important
• Today was a snapshot of where we are now. As a group, we can take this back to our
departments and disseminate to our groups
• Information from committee was useful
• It’s good to know now rather than later when it hits us
• Some of us sit on other committees, I feel that this meeting is beneficial to share
ideas and come up with a better plan, what is working and what is not working. I don’t
want to see this meeting go away.
• Question on Standard to have more detail in our minutes? How can we do that
without it being cumbersome?
• A suggestion: it doesn’t have to cover every point. Get 2-3 of take-aways, say lively
discussed ensued about… final consensus of group was…
• Key points that were raised
• What is the action/what
• Not responsibility of note taker alone to get key points down
• Revising note taking template – for next summit
• Daniel pointed out the Accreditation Team really wants us to see content related
process, what actually is coming from the work.
• Food is good
What could be improved?
• Can the meetings be earlier in semester? Just trying to find time is hard. Will try to put
it in the master calendar. We need to schedule the meeting at the end of the semester
but we will try to get the committee evaluations out sooner. One of agenda items in
August is to get this out and next year we will come back with any changes to the form.
• Last year we talked about a mid-year report with committees and this is something we
may do annually
• I don’t necessary think it needs to be a 3 hour meeting
• Send out agenda/materials a few days in advance
• Next year is fulfilling what we have and not creating as much work; we will be able to
do better planning
• Having the information ahead of time to study and to be more prepared at the meeting
and to share ideas so we can be more involved.
• To have more discussion and less PowerPoint.
Goal development process -- continue to examine alignment with strategic foci
Updates to committee evaluation form
How do we ensure committees complete their feedback forms
Formal survey for Summit feedback
Common notes template: action item check box; subcommittee meeting to update and
provide feedback at next Summit
Umbrella chart: add art committee, merged student equity and 3SP; added
Organization and Professional development under GAP
Work with Outcomes Assessment on follow-up after ILO exercise
For future summits, think about how to have interactive activities, instead of one long
powerpoint.
