Instructions: Please use
this form to capture the annual progress toward the goals outlined in your Committee’s
plan. Cite the data you used in developing/analyzing your plan and any relevant analysis of that data (e.g. upward
or downward trends, performance gaps). Include your committee’s achievements, along with any challenges you
encountered. Analyze and discuss those achievements and challenges. Perhaps most importantly, outline any
changes you have planned, based on your analysis, that you anticipate will lead to improvement in your plan area.

2014-2015
12/4/15, 12/9/15
number of plans evaluated out of all scheduled for evaluation; guided discussion
evaluation at Strategic Planning Summit; iClickers survey data
Sixteen of the 2014-2015 year plans were identified as needing evaluation. Of those, 4
were district-specific so no evaluation was conducted at the college level. Ten
evaluations took place. The remaining two plans will be evaluated when the college
hires a new director in that area.
The iClickers survey revealed that 28% agreed or strongly agreed that they have a
good understanding of the evaluation process for the MPEC. An additional 36% were
neutral on this item, and the remainder disagreed.
The guided evaluation revealed that the MPEC is largely perceived as a useful tool that
was done well although some were still unclear on its purpose, and others expressed
that it needed wider dissemination and use. Respondents commented that it motivated
them to conduct their evaluations, and that it also encouraged them to look at the
timing of those evaluations to be sure that faculty and staff weren't overburdened by
multiple evaluations scheduled simultaneously.

Discussion Notes:
I
mprovements (planned and completed):
The committee is proud of the MPEC and the progress that has been made toward
integrating it into processes across the college. Constituents who are active in the
participatory governance process and other committee work are familiar with the MPEC
but we need to make an effort to publicize its existence and purpose to more of the
campus.
The Evaluation and Action Template is a helpful tool for guiding committees as they
evaluate their plans. It encourages them to analyze the data, discuss it, and make
plans for improvement.
The IEC plans to print color copies of the 2015-2015 MPEC and post them around the
college so that more constituents are familiar with the document. In addition, the
research office plans to write a research brief about the MPEC with an executive
summary and analysis and distribute it to all college constituents.
The program review committee plans to shift its evaluation schedule so that it does not
coincide with the many other evaluations scheduled for spring.
The IEC will send each committee's completed 2014-2015 Evaluation and Action
Template to the committee as they develop the plans for the following year so that they
are reminded of their planned improvements and any areas of concern.
