North Ayrshire Council provides free transport for all primary pupils who live more than two miles from
their catchment primary school, and three miles from their delineated secondary school, by the shortest
safest walking route. Arrangements for free school transport may be made for children with additional
support needs.
Education and Youth Employment do not provide transport for those pupils in receipt of a
placing request other than in exceptional circumstances.
