e ACCUPLACER placement test is required of all students seeking a degree or certificate at NHCC unless you meet one
of the following criteria. Waivers submitted without documentation will NOT be evaluated. Official transcripts
submitted to Records Office are evaluated for waivers; this form does not need to be submitted.
Please indicate below which documentation you are providing:
Official transcript on file at NHCC, credits from a MN State institution or an Unofficial transcript (attached)
A grade of C or higher on a college-level Algebra, English Composition, and/or completion of six college level
credits with an overall GPA of 2.0 or higher from a regionally accredited college or university.*
Current ACT scores (Valid 5 years)
Minimum sub scores in Reading (21); English (18); College Algebra (22); Calculus (26).
Current SAT scores (Valid 5 years)
Minimum sub scores in Reading (480); Writing (480); College Algebra (530); Calculus (590)
Current MCA scores (Valid 5 years)
Minimum sub scores in Reading (1047); Statistics (1148); College Algebra (1158)
Current ACCUPLACER test scores from another institution.
Attach a copy of a score report if taken at a non-MN State institution. We cannot evaluate scores that are from
the COMPASS test. Test scores are valid 3 years for reading and English; 2 years for math.
