Partnering
to
Meet
Minimum
Standards
and
Practices
PURPOSE:
Owatonna Public Utilities (OPU) wants to ensure our customers will receive quality materials
and workmanship when utilizing any of the Energy Solutions Partners (ESP) introduced through
our Partnering in Energy Solutions program.
Each consultant and contractor joining OPU’s Partnering in Energy Solutions program
acknowledges the value of the benefits received through participation in this program.
ESPs agree to:
• Operate with the highest level of professional integrity, provide services and/or products
that adhere to the quality standards set forth in this program, and represent the best
interests of our mutual customer(s).
• Promote energy conservation measures that meet or exceed the high quality standards of
our Conserve & Save® program.
• Work with customers to complete Energy Efficiency Financing paperwork (if applicable)
along with rebate applications and documentation.
• Follow OPU’s current Minimum Standards and Practices Guidelines.
In exchange, OPU agrees to:
• Work for the benefit of the ESP by providing pre-qualified customers a list of ESP’s whose
expertise match the needs of the customer.
• Allow our mutual customer to apply for utility financing under our Energy Efficiency
Financing program (terms and conditions apply).
• Provide marketing support to the ESP by promoting the Partnering in Energy
Solutions program, e.g. print ads, and recognizing the ESP on OPU’s web site.
ITEMS OF UNDERSTANDING:
The Partnering in Energy Solutions program is a self-policing program. Each ESP agrees to
voluntary compliance with the requirements of the program. Should OPU become aware that an
ESP is not following through with these commitments OPU can elect to remove the ESP from the
program and terminate the benefits outlined above.
