Feather River College may, under specific circumstances; disregard from all considerations associated with
requirements for the Certificate of Achievement or Associate Degree and general education certification up to a
maximum of thirty (30) semester units of course work from two consecutive terms taken at any college.
The circumstances that are required in order to disregard course work are:
1) That the work completed in the term(s) under consideration is sub-standard (less than a 2.0 GPA)
and not representative of present scholastic ability as verified by the current level of performance.
2) A minimum of two (2) semesters with at least eighteen (18) units having been completed at Feather
River College with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better subsequent to the coursework to be
disregarded.
3) At least 12 months have elapsed since the most recent coursework to be disregarded.
All substandard coursework shall be disregarded except those courses required as a prerequisite or to satisfy a
requirement in the student's redirected educational objective. Credit for courses from other colleges or
universities may be disregarded in order to meet the GPA requirements for an Associates Degree or Certificate
of achievement toward graduation.
Please provide evidence to verify each of the circumstances listed above; attach all evidence to the back of this
petition. Also, using the space below, please explain why your work was sub-standard during the term(s) for
which you are requesting academic renewal.
