BY ACCEPTING AND USING THIS PERMIT FROM THE CITY OF PORTLAND, THE PERMITTEE AGREES TO COMPLY WITH ALL
PERMIT CONDITIONS AND THE TRAFFIC CONTROL CONDITIONS, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE PERMIT
CONDITIONS STATED BELOW:
Conditions of Permit to Use Dedicated Street Area
• An approved permit is required before any parking reservation devices are placed either by the permit holder for barricade parking or PBOT staff for
metered area parking. Permit holder to follow procedures to reserve a barricade (non-metered) parking space per the barricade procedure detailed
on the Temporary Street Use Permitting website www.portlandoregon.gov/transportation/permitting
.
Barricade parking not verified by PBOT staff per the barricade procedure is not eligible to be cited or towed.
• Payment is required before a permit is issued and the permit holder places the barricade parking devices or PBOT staff places any parking reservation
devices in areas where this service is available.
• All vehicles shall be positively identified, either paint or magnetic signs that show the company name on both sides of the vehicle. If the vehicle
identification does not match the label on the space reservation device (delineator, sign, bag), the permittee shall ensure that the front of this permit
is placed on the center of the dash of each vehicle parked in the permitted space, permit number must be face up. If the vehicle is not marked or
lacks a permit on the dashboard, the vehicle may be cited and/or towed. It is the permit holders’ responsibility to assure the identification
requirements are met.
• The permittee shall, at his/her own expense, provide barricades, signs, illumination, and any other safety or traffic control devices required by the
City Engineer and/or the City Traffic Engineer. This permit is for use of the street area only; the permitted area shall be subject to necessary use by
emergency vehicles.
• This permit is for trucks and vans only; passenger & sport utility vehicles are not permitted.
• The permit granted is personal to the permittee only, and may not be transferred, assigned, or otherwise conveyed.
• Sidewalk, lane, & street closure permits require insurance that shall be kept in full force & in effect at all times this permit is valid. The certificate of
insurance shall be on file with PBOT per the requirements detailed on the website https://www.portlandoregon.gov/transportation/article/334043
.
The permittee shall obtain Commercial General Liability Insurance (CGL) covering bodily injury and property issued on an occurrence basis of not less
than $2,000,000 for each occurrence, $1,000,000 Personal Injury/Advertising Injury and $1,000,000 General Aggregate. This permit is automatically
revoked without further action by the City Engineer and/or the City Traffic Engineer if this insurance is permitted to lapse, is canceled, or for any
reason becomes inoperative during the term of this permit.
• THE PERMITTEE SHALL INDEMNIFY, DEFEND AND HOLD HARMLESS THE CITY OF PORTLAND, ITS OFFICERS, AGENTS AND EMPLOYEES
FROM ALL CLAIMS FOR DAMAGES TO PERSONS OR PROPERTY, INCLUDING LEGAL FEES AND COSTS OF DEFENDING ANY ACTIONS OR
SUITS, INCLUDING ANY APPEALS, WHICH MAY RESULT FROM THE USE OF THE STREET AREA UNDER THIS PERMIT.
• This permit is revocable at any time by the City of Portland Bureau of Transportation, or Bureau of Police, and no expenditure of money or lapse of
time, or any other act or thing shall operate as an estoppel against the City of Portland or be held to give the permittee any vested or other right.
Upon expiration or revocation of this permit the permittee shall immediately reopen said street to the normal use of the public.
• This permit shall not exempt the permittee from obtaining any license or permit as required by the City Code or Ordinances for any act to be
performed under this permit, nor shall this permit waive the provisions of any City Code, Ordinance or the City Charter except as herein stated.
Parking Enforcement Instructions for Reserved Parking
Call and report stolen delineators to both offices per information below. Messages are retrieved frequently & return calls are made promptly. If there
is no answer, leave a detailed message. Whether you leave a message or speak with someone please be prepared with the following information: Name
of the permittee, permit number, phone number, and the exact location.

Please note: The City of Portland does not refund permit fees for stolen parking reservation devices.
To request Parking Enforcement to cite and/or tow a vehicle that is illegally parked at a permitted space by delineator or reserved non-metered space
that you have had verified, https://www.portlandoregon.gov/transportation/article/571598, please clearly state that you are asking for vehicle(s) to be
towed. You must provide permittee name, permit number, phone number, and exact location.
Parking Enforcement is available to enforce space reservation permits during the hours of 6:30am-10pm Mon-Fri, Saturdays 10am-10pm, and Sundays
10am-6pm. The typical response time is within an hour. All other hours, permits are enforced by Portland Police and their response time varies upon
their availability.
