INSTRUCTIONS
Skagit County Public Works is happy to assist you with your permitting needs.
Advanced notice of 2-weeks is needed to better serve you. Any applications
requiring a shorter turn around may result in a delay to your haul. All contact
information is shown below; please comply with the following instructions:
Fill out the Hauler Information, Vehicle Information, and Trip Information areas
thoroughly. Please do not write in the grayed out areas, that are for County use
only. When complete, submit the permit application to Skagit County Public
Works either by scanning and e-mailing or by fax.
Please Note: Actual total gross weight is needed in the Vehicle Information section of the
application.
1) If your vehicle will be crossing bridges, the Truck Data Form will also need
to be completed showing the distances between axles and the associated
weights on said axles, and submitted to Skagit County Public Works either
by scanning and e-mailing or by fax.
2) Upon County review, your application we may impose restrictions which
will be noted in the Restrictions box of your application and returned to
you for your signature. Please do not sign the permit application until you
have reviewed and understand the noted Restrictions.
3) Skagit County requires a copy of the WSDOT permit when the hauler
plans to travel State routes, i.e., I-5, SR-9, SR-536, etc, in addition to
County Roads. You may scan and e-mail or fax the WSDOT permit to
Barb Gibbons at Skagit County Public Works and it will be put on file
with the approved Skagit County Permit which validates the County
permit. Skagit County Permit Application may be processed before
receiving the WSDOT permit but the County permit is not valid until all
required paperwork is on file with the County.
