Apply for Financial Aid
Need help paying for college or want to apply for a scholarship? Just complete aFAFSA(Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
application online at www.studentaid.gov. Once that’s submitted, your award notification will be emailed to you and you can meet with
a financial aid advisor to discuss grant and loan options. Easily keep track of your progress with our Financial Aid Checklist located on
our website! Clark State’s FAFSA school code is 004852.
Send Your Transcripts
If you’ve attended regionally accredited colleges other than Clark State, request that your transcripts be sent to us. If your previous
college credits allow you to bypass the placement tests (college-level English and math), an unocial copy of your transcript may be
used for the first semester only. To register for subsequent semesters and to have transfer credits evaluated, you must provide an ocial
copy of your transcript.
Transcript evaluation can take up to six (6) weeks. Once it is complete, you will receive an e-mail notification, and you can view
your transferred credits via Student Planning on the student portal. Visit accuplacer.collegeboard.org for test information and
sample questions.
Send all transcripts to: Clark State Admissions Oce, P.O. Box 570, Springfield, OH 45501.
Transcripts must be received in a sealed envelope in order to be considered ocial.
Take the Placement Tests
You must take placement tests, unless you have previous college credits in English and math or adequate ACT/SAT scores.You must
bring your acceptance letter and a valid photo ID when you come in to take the tests. Remote testing is available if you are
an online student and you do not live near one of the Clark State campuses. If you have a documented disability (either a physical
or learning disability) and need special accommodations for taking the placement test, make prior arrangements with the Oce of
Accessibility.
