The City of Hickory values coworkers who exhibit Customer Focus, Innovation and Teamwork.
The coworker recognition award focuses on recognizing coworkers who consistently exceed customer
expectations and who are willing to go above and beyond their regular job duties in order to serve their
internal and external customers. Coworkers who suggest and participate in ideas that measurably
(innovation) improve service delivery may also be nominated for the award. The award also recognizes
teams who are able to accomplish (teamwork) tasks by working together effectively and displaying
positive communication within the team, the department and the organization.
