FAMILY GUIDE
to the Cookie Program
How YOU Can Support HER Cookie Program!
Stand by her — She needs you to be on her side as she develops the condence
to ask people for orders. Help her practice her “ask” and network with family and
friends.
Volunteer — Her troop needs help chaperoning cookie booths, picking up
cookies and more.
Practice safety — Help your girl understand the Girl Scout safety rules.
Set an example — Help her understand and follow the guidelines for the Cookie
Program.
Support her online participation — Hosted by GSUSA, the Digital Cookie
platform helps your girl with online sales.
Help her set her goals — She can have both personal learning goals related
to the ve key skills and sales goals based around rewards she wants or Cookie
Credit she would like to earn for camp.

Cookie Program Credit
Cookie Program Credit is a fee reduction system that reserves a credit in each girl’s name based on her range of
packages sold as listed on the order card. It is based on total packages sold by March 22, 2020 and is available for use
beginning May 1, 2020 and until the expiration of the girl’s membership in Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma. Cookie
Program Credit is used to discount the cost of activities such as day camp and resident camp and supplies available in
the Girl Scout Store that will enrich the Girl Scout experience. Cookie Program Credit is non-transferable and is
NOT paid in cash. Cookie Program Credit will not be accepted after the expiration of membership on September 30,
2020 for girls who do not reregister. Cookie Program Credit will be reinstated for girls who reregister during the grace
period, ending August 31, 2021. After that time the credit will be permanently forfeited.

My daughter, ____________________________________________, is a registered member of Troop ___________________ and has my
permission to participate in the Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma 2020 Cookie Program. I personally agree to accept full
nancial responsibility for all cookies and money she receives, and to deliver all money due to her troop on or before
March 22, 2020. I understand that all cookies received must be paid for at $5.00 per box ($6.00 per box for Toee-
tastic and S’mores) and no cookies may be returned to the troop or council. I understand that unpaid funds
will be turned over to a collection agency or the courts for action. I understand the ocial starting date is February 1,
2020, and will make sure that she has adult guidance at all times.

Parent Permission & Responsibility
Form for the Cookie Program
• Honor the starting date of February 1.
• Honor the starting date of February 14 for booth sales.
• Remember that girls sell cookies, not adults. If she can’t go to
work with a parent, she should be involved in the process in
some way such as making signs, lling orders or writing thank
you notes.
• Turn money in weekly and before picking up more cookies.
• Your daughter and you are responsible for all cookies she
takes out and for all money she receives. No cookies may
be returned and unpaid funds will be turned over for collection.
Always get a signed receipt when getting cookies from the troop
and when turning in money.
• Cookies may not be sold on the Internet, except through our Digital Cookie program. Look for
your email to log in beginning January 20.
• The link for the girl’s Digital Cookie site may be shared on social media with family and friends that the girl
knows personally. This link or any other options to purchase Girl Scout Cookies should not be
posted on any public sites such as Facebook,Twitter,eBay, Craigslist and Nextdoor.
All girls participating in the sale must be registered Girl Scouts and have written parental permission. Please
ll out the permission slip at the bottom and return it to your daughter’s troop leader or cookie manager
promptly. THANK YOU!
