Michigan Transfer Agreement
(MTA) Certification Request
Instructions
The Michigan Transfer Agreement was designed to facilitate the transfer of general education
requirements from one institution to another. Students may complete the MTA as part of an
associate degree or as a stand alone package at a Michigan community college.
To fulfill the Michigan Transfer Agreement, students must successfully complete at least 30
credits of coursework in six (6) defined areas with at least the grade of C in each course. All
courses must be 100 level or above.
The MTA will take effect for students who begin their studies in the Fall 2014 semester.
Students who started before Fall 2014 are able to complete the existing MACRAO Agreement
until the end of Summer 2019.
Submit this form to the Registration and Records Office via fax (313.845.6464), scan and email
(registrar@hfcc.edu) or submit in the drop box located in the Welcome Center. We will email a
response to you within 10 business days. If you need MTA Certification on your transcript,
please wait until you receive email notification that your request is processed prior to
requesting your transcript.
