SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS:
No application shall be considered to be complete and accepted by the Development Services Department unless it contains all of the information
necessary to determine if the property will comply with all of the requirements of the Town Code, including the UDO as may apply. Applications which
are not complete will be returned to the applicant with a notation of deficiencies.
In addition to this application, the following must be submitted to the Development Services Department: (Failure to submit all items will result in the delay of
your application.)

For applicants applying to keep livestock and domestic fowl under Chapter 81 of the Town Code, plan shall show the proposed area where
livestock/domestic fowl will be kept along with scaled distances from said area to the corner of any building within 200 feet.
For applicants applying for a chicken coop under Section 4.6D(2) of the UDO, plan shall show building footprints, yard fencing, proposed coop
location and dimensions, and scaled distances from coop to property lines and other buidlings.
* As applicable, scaled drawing of coop showing compliance with Section 4.6D(2)c "Coop Design" of the UDO.
Chapter 81 of the Knightdale Town Code specifies the regulations or prohibitions of the keeping of certain types of animals within the corporate limits of
the Town. With certain criteria being met, the keeping of livestock and/or domestic fowl with the corporate limits may be allowed. Additionally, Section
4.6D(2) of the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) contains the provisions specific to the keeping of chickens (hens only) in a chicken coop as an
accessory use to single-family dwellings. In all cases, a permit must first be approved by the Development Services Department.
