• If a COVID positive test result(s) is announced in Gustavus, the library will immediately close for 72 consecutive
hours. After 72 hours, the library will assess reopening based on the direction of the Mayor and/or Incident
Commander.
• If a library patron, staff member, or volunteer discloses having COVID-like symptoms, the library will
immediately close for 72 consecutive hours and assess reopening based on the direction of the Mayor and/or
Incident Commander.
• The library may close at any time at staff discretion or under direction of the Mayor and/or Incident
Commander.
If you have library needs which are not being met, please let us know. We will work within our current guidelines and
capabilities to assist you. If we cannot meet your requests at this time, we will aim to include them in our next phase of
re-opening.
We have made the decision to open further due to the minimal number of cases in Gustavus, made possible by social
distancing, mask wearing, and healthy habits. Please remain vigilant in these times. The library is prepared to reduce
services if the health, safely, and well-being of our staff members, volunteers, and/or community members are at risk.
To stay open, we need to stay safe.
